Planning the perfect wedding is an exciting but challenging task.

While most couples place great importance on location, catering and decor, there are some crucial details that are often overlooked - and these can make the difference between a beautiful wedding and a truly memorable one.

Here are three aspects that you should definitely have on your radar.

1. the timetable - small delays, big consequences

Every bride and groom want their wedding to run smoothly, but even the best planning can be jeopardised by small delays. Whether it's hair and make-up taking longer than expected or guests chatting away at the champagne reception - couples often find themselves under pressure as a result.

Tip:

  • Plan buffer times for each item on the programme - especially for getting ready, the reception and moving between locations.
  • Think about a plan B for unforeseen delays so that you can still relax and enjoy the day.
2. the needs of the guests - more than just food and music

Your wedding should not only be an unforgettable experience for you, but also for your guests. But while good food and a great party are a given, there are other little details that are often overlooked.

Tip:

  • Shady spots & seating: Shaded areas and plenty of seating are especially important for outdoor summer weddings - and not just for older guests. For example, 2 large tents can be set up for our inner courtyard.
  • Childcare: If there are a lot of children present, a small play corner or a children's programme can ensure relaxed parents and an exuberant celebration.
3. the lighting mood - more than just decoration

The right lighting has a huge impact on the atmosphere of your wedding - and yet it is often only considered at the last minute. The right lighting not only creates a festive atmosphere, but also makes for impressive photos.

Tip:

  • Use fairy lights, candles and indirect lighting to create a warm, romantic atmosphere. For example, we strung fairy lights across our courtyard to create a romantic mood.
  • Make sure that the dance floor and speaker area are well lit so that speeches and the opening dance are perfectly staged.
  • Clarify with your photographer how the lighting conditions will affect your pictures and whether additional equipment is required.

Many small details make your wedding a special experience - not only for you, but also for your guests.
